13 Days From Casablanca To Fes Volubilis Desert

Day1 - From Casablanca

Departure from Casablanca to Chefchaouen via Rabat We pick you up from the airport, we go to visit the 1st big mosque in Morocco (Hassan II mosque) & we have a look at the coastal “Cornish” by the seashore. Then we take the direction to Morocco’s capital (Rabat) where we will see Hassan II tower, the kasbah of Oudaya. Afterwards, we drive to white-blue city of Chefchaouen traversing Rif Mountains. We will spend over night in one of its quiet riads (dinner & breakfast).

Day2 - Volubilis Meknes

After breakfast in riad we will proceed our magic trip driving towards Volubilis passing via Small Rifian Villages to join the Roman traces. Once we get into Vulibilis we will be accompany with a local guide to explore and learn about the Roman history in volubilis. After having visited the ruins, we will change direction towards The Ismailian capital “Meknes” where we will take lunch and walk around to discover the historical monuments of Moulay Ismail and see great walls surrounding the old Medina. Furthermore, we will visit the tomb of Moulay Ismail, the old sub jail, Bad mansour…We will spend night in Meknes (dinner & breakfast) .

Day3: Meknes Fes

After your breakfast in riad our authentic journey will start towards the ex-scientific Morocco’s capital Fez. In Fez, we will take you to hang around the historical sites of the most ancient city in Morocco. You will have chance to explore and see the most historical heritage of Fes such as, the Old Qarawyine University, the Jewish place, Royal Palace and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum…ect. Over night in riad, where we will have dinner & breakfast

Day4 - Fez- Ifrane- Azrou- Midelt

After having breakfast in Riad/hotel, the morning will dedicated to visit the Medina of Fez, the most ancient of Imperial Cities anywhere in the Muslim world. It is the city that has been the spiritual and political capital of Morocco for over 1000 years since its inception by Moulay Idriss. The local guide will take you around the secrets of Fez to show you the most important historical monuments. We will make sure that you visit such places: Bab Boujloud, Dar Batha/ Museum of Moroccan Arts and Crafts, Medersa, Kairaouine Mosque…After the sightseeing of Fez, we will take our direction south to see the beautiful city of Ifrane and we pass through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Azrou. Here we will stop at the cedar forest to see monkies as well as to have some pictures. Subsequently, we drive ahead to the city of apple “Midelt” where we will spend over night in a riad/hotel . Fez- Ifrane- Azrou- Midelt

DAY 5 - Midelt- Tizi-ntlghmt pass- Errachidia- Ziz Valley- Merzouga Camp in Desert

We have our breakfast in Hotel, and then we say goodbye heading to Merzouga via the pass of Tizi ntlghmt. During our way Midelt- Merzouga will pass across numerous villages scattering along the way. We will pass through Errachidia and we continue our journey through the Ziz valley passing through Erfoud, Rissani and finally getting to Merzouga. After a glass of “Berber whiskey” mint tea, we say a temporary goodbye to the Hotel and getting prepared to take camels to immerse in nomadic lifestyle in the desert. Camel trekking takes about 1hr 30 min from the hotel to the Oasis where we will spend over night, sleep in tents. After dinner we gather around fire enjoying the desert night atmosphere and entertain ourselves with Berber instruments playing desert style music. For calm and nature lovers they can go for a walk on dunes enjoying the calm and warm atmosphere manipulating stars and moon .

Day6 - Merzouga- Gnaoua families- Rissani- Erg Chebbi Dunes

Wake up early dawn to see the beauty of sunrise in the desert. Subsequently, you take camels back to the hotel. After having breakfast and shower, you have free day around, you will have a unique opportunity to visit the Gnaoua village “ black people” originated and derived from Mali, Niger, Burkinafasso…They will entertain you with their authentic Instruments. After spending a worthwhile moment with Gnaoua, we drive to Rissani city to see the largest market of the region. People from all surrounding areas accede to this city to buy their life requirements. Lunch is in this city “Rissani”. Afterwards, we go back to Erg Chebbi dunes for a sunset camel trekking and come back to spend night in hotel .

Day 7 - Merzouga- Rissani- Erfoud- Todra Gorges- Dades Valley

The camel man will wake you up early to join and enjoy magnificent sunrise on dunes. This would be a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the desert. After doing so, we take camel ride back to the hotel. Arriving to hotel taking a shower then breakfast and we leave Merzouga for Tinghir and Todra Gorges. In Erfoud, we will visit fossil artisanat. During our drive Merzouga_Dades, numerous Berber villages are scattered along the way. We will pass through Jorf, Tinjdad, and finally arrive to Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night .

Day 8 - Dades Valley- Rose Valley- Skoura- Ouarzazate- Ait Benhadou- Marrakech

Having breakfast and we start our journey crossing the authentic Dades Valley to Kalaat M’gouna ( the capital or rose) and Ouarzazate (the Hollywood of Africa). Within our route in Dades Valley, we will have a great chance to see thousand of abandoned Kasbahs. We will visit the Roses valley and Skoura village, and then continue to Ouarzazate. After visiting the Hollywood city and Taourirt Kasbah we will go ahead to enjoy lunch at the famous, largest Kasbah in Morocco “Ait Benhaddou Kasbah”. This latter is registered by UNESCO as one of the most beautiful monuments in Morocco. Moreover, many movies have been taken in this Kasbah. After touring this UNESCO World Heritage site, our journey will continue via the charming Tizi N’Tichka pass. Within our being through this pass, we will halt for a while to enjoy the panoramic views as well as we will visit the Argan oil cooperatives. At the end we will be arrived in Marrakech .

Day 9- Marrakech sightseeing

After breakfast in riad, we start our journey sightseeing the city of Marrakech “the red city of Morocco”, it was founded in the XII century by Almoravidian dynasty. We will insist on to see the most important cites oh cultural and historical heritage. You will have great chance to visit Saadiyin Tomb, Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower. Moreover, our guide will lead you to see Bahia square, the Souk of the city, and then you go to join the famous square of the medina where you will see and discover the fascinating serpent’s magician, “funny seminars” where some professional or humorous people tell fabulous and nice jokes, riddles…On the afternoon, you will have free time to walk around and see, discover other places of the city by yourself .

Day 10 :Marrakech- Ouzoud waterfalls

Our driver will come to take you from your riad heading to the most beautiful waterfalls in Morocco. It is located at the Middle Atlas section close to the city of Azilal. Ouzoud waterfalls are 170 kilometres from Marrakech. About 3 hours driving from Marrakech, we will be able to discover the magnificent waterfalls in Morocco. There are many things to experience around the area. You can go on a natural trek walking around the falls, take boats to cross the river, or we can go ahead to see Ouzoud cascade source. We will have our lunch there. Your private tour indulges you to explore the space by your own selves. Ouzoud is the most Moroccan popular site in summer. Back to Marrakech .

Day 11 :Marrakech- Essaouira

After you have breakfast in your riad, our staff meets you in the reception aiming to arrange, organize a nice trip discovering the sceneries of “Mogador” Essaouira. Within Marrakech-Essaouira route we will come across small women shops of Argan cooperatives. Backtomorocco will take you in an enormous tour in Morocco to enjoy your day wandering around this ocean town exploring the old fortified fishing port of Essaouira on the Atlantic coast. This latter is the favourite of wind and kite surfers due to the shallow waters. It was once a favourite haunt of Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix. Despite the beach, there are also plenty of things to experience in this town. Day 13 :Airport
